During this special holiday event, join us as we pay virtual visits to some of the most curious places around. We’ll look at curious holiday toys at the Strong Museum of Play; learn about the dances and celebrations of Matariki, the Māori new year; discuss Charles Dickens’s original manuscript of A Christmas Carol with Philip Palmer from The Morgan Library; chat with special guest Sasha Sagan, author of For Small Creatures Such as We; hear some songs from singer and Broadway actress, Brittain Ashford; learn how to make Dōngzhì Festival dumplings with AO Course instructor, Dr. Xiaokun Song; and more! It’s going to be the most wondrous holiday celebration of the season!
And we want you to join in the wonder and share your own unforgettable holiday traditions as well! Throughout the show, in addition to the singing and dancing, we’ll be spotlighting members of the audience to share the traditions and rituals that make their holidays special as well.
