Wing Heung Noodle Co.

Home to some of the last true noodle artisans in New York.

For decades, this small-scale producer has been churning out some of the finest fresh noodles in New York. Wing Heung Noodle Co. keeps an intentionally low profile, with no website, storefront, or advertising of any kind. That’s because their product speaks for itself and word-of-mouth among local chefs has been enough to sustain the business.

Whether you order a bowl of Cantonese-style egg noodles topped with roast duck in Chinatown or Taiwanese-style beef noodles at a restaurant like 886, there’s an excellent chance that they came from here. In the mornings, these noodle masters extrude hundreds of pounds of dough through vintage machines.

Almost all of Wing Heung Noodle Co.’s business is wholesale for local restaurants, but that doesn’t mean amateur noodle enthusiasts can’t swing by. Show up early enough on weekday mornings and you might just catch the crew at work in the cavernous industrial space. There’s no real shop, but the owners will gladly sell you a bag of perfectly springy, toothsome noodles for a few bucks.
