Doug Sanders was born in Cedartown, Georgia during the depression and rose to fame as a Pro Golfers’ Association (PGA) golfer.

The museum houses Sanders’s collection of memorabilia from lifelong friendships with Hollywood celebrities, singers, professional athletes, NASA astronauts, as well as several United States presidents.
