Constructed during 1785 and 1790, travelers passing through the Sampson-Clark Toll House were required to pay a toll for every score of swine and cattle they were transporting. The site is now maintained by The Murrysville Historical Preservation Society, who often conduct reenactments portraying life in the toll house during the 18th century.
