The iconic zombie film, Dawn of the Dead, directed by George A. Romero was filmed at the Monroeville Mall. When Romero died, Christian Stavrakis created a bronze bust of the filmmaker in his honor.

The bust is located on the first floor of the mall outside Dick’s Sporting Goods.
