This historic temperance fountain stands behind the bandstand on the Rehoboth boardwalk, intended to discourage drinking alcohol by offering a public source of drinking water. Erected in 1929 by the Delaware branch of the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union, the fountain was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009 and is still functional.
