Dylan Buchalter, Richard Baranowski, and Dane Tarr are behind this most unusual taqueria off of the island of Saint John. The only way to reach the restaurant is to hop on a boat. Once there, splash into the warm, turquoise waters of Coral Bay and swim right up to the bar for a Smokin’ Luca, made with mezcal, tamarind juice, and squeeze of citrus. Tacos come stuffed with fillings like grouper ceviche with pink grapefruit, jerk-seasoned tuna with pineapple, or pulled pork with a barbecue sauce spiked with locally distilled rum.
Know Before You Go
For diners unwilling to charter a boat, a shuttle service offers regular transportation out to the restaurant.
