Las Arenas de Barcelona was one of three bullrings in Barcelona. Opening in 1900, the bullring was designed by Augusto Font i Carreras and could hold around 15,000 spectators.

In 1999, the structure was very much in disarray until it was purchased by the company Sacresa. Architect Richard Rogers was tasked with converting the arena into a shopping center. After eight years of construction, the shopping center officially opened in 2011.

The mall is topped by a 27-meter high dome, complete with an outdoor terrace that allows for a panoramic view of the wonders around Barcelona.
