Travelers who keep their eyes trained on the lefthand side of the road en route Shirley Heights Lookout restaurant will notice a small cemetery with an amazing view.

If you have a chance to retrace your steps just before the turn, you will be met with about a dozen graves and a white obelisk forever looking over the ocean; this area is for the deceased soldiers and officers of the 54th Regiment, Second Battalion Dorsets.
