These waste baskets play a few risque messages to discourage littering.

Littering is an eyesore as well as bad for the planet. The city council of Malmö has therefore tried an unconventional way to encourage people to throw their trash away via dirty talking garbage cans.
In the center of Malmö, solar-powered public trash cans are equipped with loudspeakers and pre-recorded audio messages.
When the flaps are opened to deposit waste, they are thanked with phrases such as: “that was crazy good,” and “mmm… a bit more to the left next time,” to name a few.
The hi-tech trash cans feature both a male and a female voice.

The talking garbage cans are located on Davidhallsbron, which is a pedestrian bridge in the heart of Malmö.
