There aren’t really 1001 steps in this park, but a little over 200. The top of the steps is located at the westernmost point of 15A Ave, just off 126A Street in South Surrey.
Follow the zig-zag pattern of steps to scale down roughly 130 feet to the secluded beachfront. To get to the water go under the Burlington North rail line and through an old underpass covered in graffiti. The beach offers beautiful views during sunset. Trains regularly appear, offering an opportunity to view them as they travel from Seattle to Vancouver. Whales, harbor seals, and other wildlife can also be viewed from this location.
