The world’s second-largest globe is located on Jones Street in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is part of the North Carolina Museum of Sciences, and free to see outside and inside. At its widest point, the globe measures 70 feet (21 meters) across.

Inside the globe is a presentation space for films, science experiments, and educational programs inside the globe. The outside is covered in high-resolution satellite photos of Earth. It does not rest on the ground, and if you get up close you can see Antarctica underneath.

The world’s largest globe is the Unisphere, a 12-story metal globe in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in New York City. The largest globe that rotates can be found at Garmin’s headquarters in Maine
