Taskuyu Cave (Taşkuyu Mağarası in Turkish) is a dripstone cave in the village of Taşkuyu. It was discovered by chance while a nearby road was being constructed in 2006.

The cave formed as a result of water leaking and dripping into the limestone. Over time, that water carved out large underground chambers. Inside the cave's interconnected galleries, you can find numerous formations, including relatively rarely seen cave pearls. The temperature in the cave is between 19-24 degrees Celsius.

The cave opened to visitors in 2014, after lights and a walking path were installed.

Know Before You Go

The cave is free to visit at the time of writing. It is easily accessible by car via the Mersin-Adana-Gaziantep highway. The cave has a free parking lot. There is another cave called Eshabi Kehf Cave 500 meters away from Taskuyu Cave.
