About

Possumhaw, Mexican plum, and White yarrow—are just a few of the botanic blooms awaiting visitors at the Southwest Regional Library Demonstration Garden.

In addition to native plant species, there are plenty of benches nestled along the paths, which offer perfectly shaded seats fit to enjoy a book or host a picnic. The library's "secret garden" began in 1997 and is now maintained by volunteers.

The garden is also designated as a Monarch Waystation, so visitors in the spring or fall are likely to encounter some of the beautiful butterflies in their migration path.

Another photo-worthy feature includes a butterfly wing standing sculpture.
