About

A series of spooky wooden carvings by the artist Thomas Rees can be found in the woods near the Waldhaus Freiburg, a German environmental institution.  They are found along a lovely walk, with other paths nearby, not at all touristy. There are lots of references to the Grimm Fairy Tales.

Free. Wear good shoes, can be slippery. Unpaved trail in the woods. 15-min drive outside of Freiburg. Nice nature trails nearby too. All signage is in German.
