SCRAP is an Aladdin’s cave for artists, creatives, and the naturally curious. Founded in 1976 by Anne Marie Theilen and San Francisco artist Ruth Asawa, it is the nation’s oldest creative reuse center and arts education nonprofit.

SCRAP breathes new life into old arts and crafts supplies by diverting over 250 tons of materials that would otherwise head to landfills every year. They also offer a diverse variety of workshops and programs centered around creative reuse and sustainability.

People from all walks of life come here to discover unique treasures that you wouldn’t find anywhere else. Not only are they offering quality materials for pennies on the dollar, but they even have an ever-changing free section to rummage through!
