Sanatorium du Basil

An early 20th-century sanatorium, long abandoned and now being reclaimed by nature.

While there was once less graffiti here, this abandoned structure is still a mysterious place. The building started as a sanatorium in the early 1900s, before being transformed into a hospital. It was then abandoned and later turned into a shelter for refugees until it was abandoned once again. Now, the building is being reclaimed by nature and the subject of many urban legends. Beautiful, but incredibly creepy.

In a bend of the main road, there lies an overgrown path leading to the sanatorium. Unsure what to find, you will be amazed by approaching the main building this way. Such a beauty.

Getting closer, you see more details. The decaying sunscreens. When peeking inside, the bath where patients used to learn walking again, the electricity, some desks and machines.
