About

When visiting Vimmerby, Sweden, one of the most important places to visit is Astrid Lindgren's World, a theme park dedicated to the many stories of the famous author. The star attraction of this park is Pippi Longstocking's house, Villa Vallekulla.

Unlike the Villa Vallekulla in Gotland, this house is based solely on the illustrations from Lindgren's book. This two-story house is fully furnished with furniture that resembles the objects described in the book, really making it come alive. The park itself houses many more Pippi Longstocking-related structures, and also some from other Lindgren books.
