Just south of Figeac there lies Peyrusse-le-Roc, the haunting ruins of this medieval village.

It sits below a still active village that acts as a gateway. As visitors descend into the forest, the view of the castle towering above the valley comes into view. Climb steep metal stairs to see the spectacular view from the castle.

Afterward, travel down to the ruins of the village, which includes a cathedral with a chateau perched high above it.
