Lynyrd Skynyrd monument
Beautiful monument at the crash site for the bald
I went on a cool crisp day in December. I was expecting to be alone and instead there were quite a few people walking g around and there was a small covered area where people were talking amd swapping stories about their memories of the band. The music. Their lives as they paralleled the music. It is sun dappled and hallowed. The marble monuments are incredibly well done and manage to be both respectful and informative. There were lovely bouquets of roses at the foot of the monuments. Well worth the short trip off of interstate 55
