About

This riverside museum is filled with the history of John Wesley Powell and his crew. Powell and his men were the first to take boats down the Green and Colorado Rivers charting maps and conducting scientific research.

Inside are replicas of the boats they used on their journey, along with displays of later riverboat models. There is also a Riverrunner Hall of Fame, featuring pictures and information about the men and women who made significant advances in river running. Also, don't miss the other works of art based on the river, as well as the dinosaur exhibit. The museum is a nice place to visit and have a picnic next to the Green River.
