About

Costumes and props featured in the 1939 film Gone with the Wind—which is still the highest-grossing movie of all time, adjusted for inflation—are on display in this historic Marietta, Georgia building. That includes the iconic mourning bonnet worn by actress Vivien Leigh. The exhibit also includes rare manuscripts of the source material published in several languages.

The museum is located in Brumby Hall, which was built in 1851 and one of the few structures not destroyed in Sherman’s march to the sea during the American Civil War.
