About

About 62 miles (100 kilometers) from the bustling urban center of Ahmedabad, the commercial capital of Gujarat, is the village of Raiyoli. The little known village rose to prominence when it was discovered that the region was a popular dinosaur haunt. It's said that a local queen came upon a lady in the village using a strange pestle and mortar to grind spices. It turned out she was using a dinosaur egg she had found nearby.

Today, the Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum occupy the region. The remains of 13 different species of dinosaur are spread across the park. Paleontologists found that the main dinosaur to occupy this region was the Rajasaurus Narmadensis.

As you cross the threshold of the Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum, you are sure to get lost in time. A time when dinosaurs walked the earth.
