About

Inside the Tugatog cemetery, located in the city of Malabon in Metro Manila, stands a unique piece of artwork. A statue of the devil himself can be seen standing on top of a tomb with St. Michael crushing under his feet.

The man buried in the tomb is Don Simeon Bernardo. According to historical accounts, Bernardo was a very religious man. He wanted the statue built as a reminder to all of society of the evil and darkness constantly engulfing the world.
