About

A free, volunteer-run museum located in Barnet, not far from High Barnet tube station.

The museum is home to the Battle of Barnet Project and contains artifacts from various excavations of the battlefield. The Battle of Barnet site is the only medieval battlefield in London. The battle was also a crucial turning point during the war. The Battle of Barnet and the subsequent Battle of Tewkesbury helped secure the throne for Edward IV during the conflict. The museum runs an annual medieval festival that features a battle reconstruction and various craft stalls. Additionally, visitors can learn about the history of the Barnet area, from prehistory until the present day.
