This stone replica monument sits atop St Johns Bluff, overlooking the St Johns River in Jacksonville. It was placed to commemorate the landing of Jean Ribault near the mouth of the St. Johns River in 1562, before being moved to its current location on the bluff. The monument is made of stone, approximately the same size as the original monument.Â
