I write about food, the culture that surrounds it and the heritage it brings with it. Originally from Bangladesh, I was born in the Mediterranean city of Benghazi, Libya and spent a part of my childhood in my mother's country, Pakistan. This lead to a very multicultural dinner table and my love of flavours!
I recently returned from Greece where I studied Heritage Management and lived on the island of Crete for a year, researching the undermined carob. I have been featured in National Geographic Traveler (India), Archeology magazine (US) Taste magazine (US) Lonely Planet (Spain edition for India) & have a recipe column in the local newspaper, The Daily Star.
