For seven years I worked in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as a contractor to the Royal Air Force. In March of 1993, we made a two day trip from Riyadh to Wahba Crater. We camped near the north rim. We made an early morning decent into the Crater and later explored the surround area including the lava flows. During those seven years, we did a lot of exploring and camping.
