I work for Walt Disney Imagineering and lived in Shanghai for 2.5 years while we were building the Shanghai Disneyland park. There is a wonderful propaganda art museum, run out of a basement in an apartment building in the French Concession area. It is a man who has collected the posters all his life, and he has hand written a short history of what was happening at the time of each poster (spanning maybe the 1950s to almost present day) in English, French, German and Chinese. It meanders (one can imagine he added on space through the years) and you first stop in his little retail area to buy a ticket, then walk your way through. It is a wonderful collection! You stop at the front of the apartment complex and tell the guard booth attendant that you want to go to the PPAC (Propaganda Poster Art Center) and they will give you a little map of the complex showing you to walk all the way to the back of the building, then turn right and go around it and then halfway back to the street on the other side is where there is a small handwritten sign to enter the building and go down to the basement for the museum.
