When you join one of our trips, we want you to have peace of mind. In response to COVID-19, we’ve:
Experience two days of tricks and treats as you wind your way through the fabled streets and contemporary emporiums of “witch city.” While Salem is still strongly associated with an American historical horror, this self-guided itinerary will bypass some of the cobwebby witch kitsch, focusing instead on the modern spirit of the city, along with the creatives shaping it. Your explorations will be well-rewarded; you’ll have the chance to go on a trick-or-treat-style hunt for surprises from some of Salem’s most enchanting purveyors. And while you’ll be navigating your own journey, we’ll take care of the logistics and serve up recommendations to ensure your time in Salem is full of unusual experiences, extraordinary people, and otherworldly encounters.
The cost of this trip is $365 per person, based on a minimum of two participants.
If there’s something in the area of particular interest to you, let us know—we’d love to tailor the experience however possible. Please keep in mind that such arrangements will be subject to additional cost and availability.
As local businesses will be responding to evolving health and safety protocol, plans can be subject to change, sometimes without advance notice.
We recommend you arrive in Salem on Friday evening or by Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. to make the most of your weekend. Your self-guided itinerary concludes in the evening on Sunday around 4:30 p.m.
Travelers should feel comfortable walking two to four miles over the course of each day and being on their feet for extended periods of time. Travelers should also be comfortable being in a boat and on water for the afternoon sail on Sunday.
