Trip Overview
Overview

Join us for an immersive, 11-day journey across northern India in the midst of Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. As we weave our way from Delhi to Udaipur, we'll wander centuries-old ruins, glimpse towering forts and palaces, take a private cooking class, and witness the sun rise over the Taj Mahal. Our adventure begins in the heart of India’s capital, where we'll be welcomed by our expert local guide who will help us navigate the bustling labyrinth of streets and sensory overload. We'll journey south to wander the stunning walled city of Agra, where a local family will allow us to partake in their Diwali festivities before heading west to the "Pink City" of Jaipur, where we'll wind our way in and out of bazaars, palaces, and havelis. We'll continue on to Jodhpur, the "Blue City," overlooked by the soaring Mehrangarh Fort, and visit the village of Bishnoi before our final leg in Udaipur, home to a series of majestic lake palaces.

This trip is organized in partnership with World Expeditions, an adventure travel company that has been operating in India since 1978. Combining some of the world's most breathtaking sights with delicious local foods and plenty of time to relax and wander on your own, this trip caters to the curious, hungry, and tenacious.
