Trip Overview

Join us in one of the most enchanting corners of the Hudson Valley for an immersive exploration of the burgeoning botanical scene and the people making it blossom. Over the course of three days, we’ll forage alongside a seasoned expert, take a tincture-making course from a local apothecary, and learn the art of arranging botanicals with our guide, a professional floral designer. Along the way, we’ll use all of our senses to learn about local ecosystems—from taking in the fragrance of a sustainable flower farm to digging into a plant-based, fire-roasted feast.

  • Expert-led foraging
  • Wild food picnic & cocktails
  • Visit to a sustainable flower farm
  • Floral design workshop
  • Tincture-making at an apothecary

Itineraries and daily schedules are subject to change. We expect to do everything listed in the itinerary, though the order may be rearranged based on weather or other local conditions.

Trip Leader

Sylvia Lukach
Sylvia Lukach is the daughter of a florist and a gardener and the owner of Cape Lily, a New York-based floral design and travel business. She's passionate about sourcing locally grown, seasonal, and sustainable flowers in keeping with the "slow flowers" ethos. When she's not creating florals for New York City weddings and events, she leads botanical journeys to destinations of floral interest such as South Africa, England, and Japan for fellow flower and nature lovers.
