Florida’s first hempcrete house sits just off the main streets in the heart of Tarpon Springs. The 1,600 sq ft home with a front porch and stone trim was finished in 2012 after years of legal battles. The home was built by Build-con Services and Robert Clayton.
Breathable hempcrete is especially beneficial in the hot tropical climate of Florida. The material is recognized as a highly sustainable green-building alternative. Hempcrete makes up the flooring, insulation, roofing, and walls.
