About

Scattered along the River Liffey from the CHQ Building to the 3Arena, there is a stunning art installation over a kilometer long, made up of 900 glass cobbles in shades of watery blue and green with tiny silver and copper fish set inside. They're like windows to the underwater world.

Installed in 2005 by artist Rachel Joynt, they make for a whimsical walk home after a concert at the arena. Try to spot which lights are merely lights, and which are glowing with a secret, miniature underwater scene beneath the city sidewalk.

Know Before You Go

The cobbles begin near the CHQ Building (or Customs House Quay) and run for over a kilometer to the 3Arena. There are 900 cobbles to find, so keep your eyes peeled. It's a massive triumph once you begin to spot them!
