This 10-foot-tall bee statue honors Alvinston’s long history of producing honey. Alvinston’s own Munro Honey has been in the bee business since 1914—that’s five generations of beekeeping. With more than 3,000 hives, this thriving apiary is now one of the largest producers, packers, and exporters of Canadian honey. 

Visitors to Munro Honey can pick up bee pollen, beeswax, and even the apiary’s own house-fermented meads and melomels. Offerings include melomels tinged with black current and cranberry for a subtle, fruity bouquet. Be sure to grab a photo with the enormous smiling bee—it doesn’t sting.
