Speaker Series: Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

Deep dive into the history of one of fall's most famous cultural experiences.

Day of the Dead is an important celebration of life among the people of the Americas. During this celebration people decorate sugar skulls, create Altares in their homes, and make Pan de Muerto all to honor and remember their ancestors and those that have passed.

Join us at Intrepid Sojourner for a presentation on the history, lore, and cultural significance of Dia de los Muertos from the staff of the Museo de las Americas.

Founded in 1992, and located at 861 Santa Fe Dr, right around the corner from Intrepid Sojourner, Museo de las Americas is a fine arts museum. It is dedicated to educating the community through collecting, preserving, interpreting and exhibiting the diverse arts and cultures of the Americas from ancient to contemporary, through innovative exhibitions and programs.
