Account Director – Tourism and Destination Marketing

We are looking for an Account Director to join our advertising and brand partnerships team, leading sales efforts for our Tourism advertisers, with a particular focus on destination marketing organizations (DMOs). You should have a passion for digital media, branded content, sponsored events, and innovative, integrated marketing programs. Most important, you should be inspired by Atlas’ mission to redefine wonder and curiosity.

Responsibilities
  • Lead sales to all of Atlas’ DMO clients, from small regional tourism boards to larger country destinations.
  • Develop expertise in the tourism and DMO marketing and advertising world.
  • Grow territory revenue through innovative digital, integrated, event, and branded content programs.
  • Responsible for full client relationship, from development through pre- and post-sale.
  • Develop strong relationships with client and agency partners.
 Requirements
  • Have a consultative sales approach built around creative ideas and client problem-solving.
  • Have a deep understanding of digital media trends, the branded-content marketplace, and emerging platforms.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with large and boutique agencies alike as well as client decision makers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a small team, focused on building a multi-platform media brand that means something to its readers.
  • Have a passion for remarkable journalism and digital media.
  • 2+ years of digital media sales experience.
